“A Man of the Highest Ethical Standards”

Besides the letter from  three prominent world leaders, Paul Martin, Jim Wolfensohn and Michel Camdessus (see earlier post below), statements in support of Anwar Ibrahim as a man of Akhlaq (ethical character) have been issued by Muslim leaders from around the world, AccountAbility, the State Department (here, here, and here), NDI, Senator Joe Biden, the International Crisis Group, Human Rights Watch also issued a very strong condemnation of the politically motivated charges against Anwar Ibrahim:

“The Malaysian government’s record provides little basis to believe this is anything other than a partisan political attack on Anwar,” said Brad Adams, Asia director at Human Rights Watch. “In light of past false allegations and his unfair trial, Anwar has good reason to worry that his rights won’t be respected.”[read entire statement]

Earlier this week Anwar Ibrahim indicated that the announcement to declare a by-election for his entry into Parliament is IMMINENT.  We invite you to join Anwar Ibrahim this weekend at events in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Kedah as he continues his nationwide tour.
