BUTTERWORTH, Aug 4 (Bernama) — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he will definitely contest in the by-election for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat even if he were to be locked up behind bars.
He said that his intention to contest had never been deterred no matter what the circumstances were to achieve his objective of taking over Putrajaya.
“I don’t know whether I will be allowed to campaign after this. Whether I am detained in the lock-up or not, I will definitely contest in Permatang Pauh,” he said at a PKR ceramah at Tapak Ekspo Seberang Jaya, here Sunday night.
He said he had decided to contest in Permatang Pauh because several other parliamentary seats such as Kulim Bandar Baru were still waiting for a court decision. [more]
