Medical Report on Saiful Sent Straight to Police

BUTTERWORTH: It is impossible for PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim could have seen the second medical report on his former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who claimed he was sodomised by the PKR adviser.

Health Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said the report was sent straight to the police from Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL).

“Even I, the Health Minister, have not seen it. It is not possible he has.

“It is also not true the report had been leaked out,” he said, discounting the possibility of an inside job. [more]

HKL Getting Silly: Bouquets for hospital lead to ACA report

PUTRAJAYA: Kuala Lumpur Hospital yesterday lodged a report with the Anti-Corruption Agency report over 10 bouquets of flowers it received from a Parti Keadilan Rakyat representative earlier this week.

A doctor from the hospital lodged the report at the agency’s Federal Territory office yesterday morning.

The bouquets, which cost about RM50 each, were presented by the party’s Wanita chief Zuraidah Kamaruddin to the hospital’s deputy director (medical) Dr Lailanor Ibrahim.

It is understood that Zuraidah, who is also Ampang MP, had asked for the medical report of its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be given to PKR once it was ready. She also expressed hope HKL would uphold its integrity in doing its job. [more]

It’s okay to be stripped for medical check, says PKR Wanita chief

KUALA LUMPUR: First, PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim complained of being stripped while being examined at the KL Hospital. Yesterday, PKR Wanita chief Zuraidah Kamaruddin said that it is “okay” if a person is stripped to check for medical evidence.

“If the doctor asks you to open your mouth so that he can inspect it, then you must open your mouth.

“If stripping was a part of the procedure, then it should be done,” she said, adding that one must follow procedure.

She also expressed hope that HKL would uphold its integrity in doing its job. [more]

Anwar Ibrahim believes HKL report will also vindicate him

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he is “not worried at all” about the medical report from Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who is accusing him of sodomy.

The former deputy prime Minister believed that another medical report, done on Mohd Saiful at the Pusrawi Hospital on June 28, just four hours prior to the examination at HKL, would also vindicate him.

He said the question though was whether the original HKL report would be torn up or amended.

“In four hours a lot of things can happen,” he charged.

The doctor who examined Mohd Saiful, 23, at Pusrawi Hospital found no evidence of sodomy as there was zero tear and scar, zero active bleeding and no ulcer or pus in his anus.

The Pusrawi’s medical report was carried by a news portal days ago.

The PKR de facto leader was speaking to reporters yesterday after giving his statement on investigations at the Federal Territory religious department.

He had filed a complaint against Mohd Saiful with the department earlier where he said Mohd Saiful had falsely accused him of fornication without producing four witnesses. [more]
